I have a few feature ideas that I believe could take the app to a completely different level: 1. Import videos from Instagram, TikTok, and other platforms Allow users to paste a video link from platforms such as Instagram or TikTok. The app could automatically download the video, generate a transcript and translation, and allow users to extract sentences and vocabulary from it for practice and shadowing. There is a huge amount of short, useful English content outside YouTube, so this would make the app much more flexible. 2. More playback speeds Since the app already supports speeds below 1x, it would be great to add: 1.25x — 1.5x — 1.75x — 2x 3. Smart mastery system Automatically separate saved sentences and words into: 🟢 Mastered 🔴 Needs Review Unmastered items could be reviewed daily, while mastered items could be reviewed less frequently, such as once a week. Ideally, the app could adjust the review schedule automatically based on the user’s performance. 4. Automatic topic organization Create a Topics section where the app automatically categorizes saved sentences and vocabulary based on their context. For example: ● Restaurant ● Daily Conversations ● Job Interviews ● Travel ● Shopping ● Education ● Daily Life Topics could also have subtopics. 5. Oxford 5000 / Essential Vocabulary Add a section containing the Oxford 5000 or another carefully selected list of the most important English words, organized by level and/or topic. The most powerful part would be connecting these words to the user’s content. For example, if I encounter “benefit” in a video and it is also part of the vocabulary list, tapping the word could show me the exact sentence and context where I encountered it. This creates a much stronger learning experience: Real content → useful vocabulary → real context → saved sentences → practice → automatic organization → spaced repetition. I know some of these features may be technically challenging, but together they could make the app much more than a vocabulary-learning app. They could turn it into a complete system for learning English through the content users actually enjoy.
